This week we get mentioned on WoW dot com and to welcome our new listeners we have a robotic sounding Hyp (for a couple of seconds here and there), a new hosting service which could well fail even worse than Podfail. So tune in for all that and more.

Hey Cypher and Hyp,

I’m incredibly happy to hear

about all of the support the show has received to “green-light” the

upcoming hosting change from PodFail. While some of us may miss the

epic downloads, it will be nice to potentially download the show in

less than a minute. Listening to your show is one of the highlights of

my week and while we’re on the topic of the show, I wanted to commend

Hyp on his editing skills. I would commend Cypher on his, but since he

uses a mac, it’s easy-sauce for him.

This past week has been a slightly bitter-sweet one

for me considering that I’ve put both my WoW and STO accounts on hold.

I’ll be back stabbing things in the face and pew-pew’ng with phasers,

but for now I’m getting reacquainted with my console games. After some

tribulations with getting my Cerberus network tied to my Xbox live

gamer-tag I have restarted Mass Effect 2 for my third time.

As an aside, EA make your fucking website work

properly in Safari. At least your customer service was quick to respond

to my email and sorted everything out for me.

Despite my love for Mass Effect 2, I may be forced to shelve the game for the

time-being on account of Final Fantasy XIII. I’m a raging Final Fantasy

fan-boy and nothing comes between me and my Final Fantasy; I did play

(and love) Final Fantasy XI for over a year. I decided to go with the

PS3 version of the game simply because my PS3 needs some loving. Well

that, and the PS3 version comes on one blu-ray disc as opposed to the FOUR DVDs for the 360.

Okay, that should just about do it for this email.

Sorry Hyp for not including any foreign words to give you a real

challenge, I’ll see what I can do for next week.

Praise be to Yevon! Your bud,

Nevik

WoW News:

Cataclysm Stat & System Changes

Celestrial steed

A preview of how the new Mastery system will work:

Here’s how the system works: As you spend points in a given talent tree, you’ll receive three different passive bonuses specific to that tree. The first bonus will increase your damage, healing, or survivability, depending on the intended role of the tree. The second bonus will be related to a stat commonly found on gear desirable to you, such as Haste or Crit. The third bonus will be the most interesting, as it will provide an effect completely unique to that tree — meaning there will be 30 different bonuses of this nature in the game. This third bonus is the one that will benefit from the Mastery rating found on high-level (level 80 to 85) gear.
