This week on the show, we discuss some wholesome Disney films in light of Nevik’s adventures. Our raid group makes some changes and Real ID blows up and simmers before we have a chance to discuss it.
Lots of the music from recent shows including this one is from the band ‘I come to Shanghai’ check out (and download) their album for free from their website www.icometoshanghai.com

- Real ID: What’s in a name?
- Mining in Eve
- So many skills so little time!
- Lost my 2million ISK ship :/ enemy used warp destabilizes
- Bull making a lot of money salvaging ships.
- Trouble finding the Agent II missions
- My impressions of Eve: It’s a pretty fun game, if not quite as user friendly as WoW. Graphics are nice, but how hard is it to render a ship against a starry sky? Also suffers from alot of pop in. (could just be my computer) I’ve had several stability issues on the Mac. Tons more info to process. It’s a lot more punishing than WoW in regards to death.

Greetings Cypher & Hyp,
What an incredible week! Leaving the Magic Kingdom was such a hard thing to do, but my feet and bank account are glad that we did. There were only a few hiccups during the trip with the largest being an earthquake which not only shut down attractions for 90 mins, but the cancellation of the World of Color show on Wednesday night. Fortunately, though, it was only a hiccup and our preferred viewing tickets for World of Color were honored for Thursday night and we were able to witness the greatest show Disney has ever put on.
Yes, World of Color is THAT INCREDIBLE. If anyone is going to visit the Disneyland resort, you definitely do not want to miss out on seeing this spectacular show. Just make sure to either visit Disney’s California Adventure early to get fast-passes for the show, or spend a boatload of money dining at one of the restaurants in the park. (It’s $37/adult and $24/child at Ariel’s Grotto)
Other than being completely blown away by World of Color (almost literally when all of the flame jets went off during the Fantasia segment) the other biggest moment for ma familia was when Peter Pan and Wendy took my daughter’s hands and walked her from Snow White’s garden all the way to Pixie Hollow to take pictures and sign her signature book. (My daughter has a crush on Peter Pan, it’s cool).
There were only a handful of Disney characters that we missed an opportunity to meet (Alice being the biggest disappointment) but my daughter was able to get signatures and pictures taken with all of the Disney princesses.
But that’s enough about Disney.
Our first day in Anaheim yielded two surprises: 1. We arrived at our destination much much earlier than expected, and 2. M Night Shyamallamadingdong’s interpretation of Avatar: The Last Airbender wasn’t as awful as all of the reviews have made it out to be.
Well, the acting wasn’t great and a few major plot devices from the cartoon series were altered, but overall the movie wasn’t THAT BAD. I didn’t hate it, and it even served as a gateway “drug” to get my wife to start watching the Nickelodeon cartoon series. We even had a mini-Airbend-athon on Saturday when we got back from our vacation. So while it’s not what I was hoping for in a live action Airbender movie, it was worth watching. I’m even looking forward to the second movie, if it gets made.
So with that I will bring this email to an end. Tomorrow should herald my return to WoW, but for now I’m watching the Evo 2K10 finals.
For the Shoryuken?
Nevik.

Paranoid:
Friday Night alts run has been restructured: Now 1st run of the week will take place in Ruby sanctum, and the 2nd and 3rd night will be in ICC. No more alts vs. mains.
Ruby Sanctum: Much improved over last weeks effort. We 1 shotted all the mini bosses. I think we were over complicating the fights the first week. Moved on to Halion- Several attempts and managed to make it into the 3rd phase of the fight. Should be able to get them on the next go. The mechanics from the first two phases are repeated after that.
‘Main’s’ Run #1:
Not much trouble got up to Rotface, new people hadn’t seen the fights. Showing them the ropes.
#2:
Bad start, spent the first hour and a half wiping on the BPC. Retreted to Valithria and one shotted her! Wend back to BPC and one shotted it too.

WoW News:
Hello everyone,
I’d like to take some time to speak with all of you regarding our desire to make the Blizzard forums a better place for players to discuss our games. We’ve been constantly monitoring the feedback you’ve given us, as well as internally discussing your concerns about the use of real names on our forums. As a result of those discussions, we’ve decided at this time that real names will not be required for posting on official Blizzard forums.
It’s important to note that we still remain committed to improving our forums.

What I’ve done: Rolled a character and spent 20-30min working on his face only to find out we never get off the ship. Finished the tutorial missions and decided to go with the Military career path. Very dissapointed when I sprung a trap and was killed by pirates on a mission. Bought a new ship, but wasn’t trained on how to fly it, so I had to wait for 8 hrs to learn the skill. Didn’t realise I had completed the mission requirements, So I lost out on the time bonus. New ship rocks with 3 turrets and a bigger capacitor but it has a tiny cargo hold. Finished the series of 10 missions for the intro to Millitary Career and was pointed to the next quest giver.

Entertainment:
Movies:
Cypher: Whip it
Actors: Ellen Page Juliette Lewis
Cute dramedy about a girl who finds her self esteem in roller derby.
Metacritic 68
80 Empire Kim Newman
Barrymore, among the most consistently admirable women in showbiz, can proudly add a Guides badge for Meritorious Directing to her many other achievements. Excellent emo chick coming-of-age drama plus broads in fetish gear battering each other on roller skates — frankly, a film that offers something for everyone.
50 ReelViews James Berardinelli
At its best, this could have been a passable distraction and at its worst, it could have been unwatchable. Barrymore manages to bring it in somewhere in between those extremes.
Kevin Smith highly recommended this movie despite his hatred for Drew Barrymore

Up in the Air
Good show, a bit predictable but I don’t think suspense was their main drive.
TV Shows:
True Blood:
Bill tries to break up with Sookie- over the phone
Sookie is determined to find him regardless.
Jason tries to blackmail Andy into making him a police officer
Sams family are camping out in the parking lot.- Sam agrees to find them a place to stay for a little bit.
Sookie crashes Alced’s ex gf’s engagement/branding party.
Tara is forced to give info about Bill and Sookie by Franklin, who we find out is working for the king of Mississippi.
The King agrees to kill Lorna after he has the Queens territory.
Eric is caught with the blood for sale by the magistrate after Bill tips off the king. He claims Bill is selling the blood and is only gathering evidence. Given 2 days to bring Bill in.

Fringe: ep13-14
14 is great- find out so much about the plot.
The ZFT manuscript (written by walternate?)
Dr Jones gets arrested just to talk to Olivia. How does he get out of the hospital- Huge hole in the wall.
The tests. Why can she turn off the lights.
Doctor Who: Good show- the Doctor gets stranded on earth and Amy is back on the tardis unable to land. Nice to see the Doctor let his hair down a bit and I think we got to see the a bit of the old doc in there.
