Written by Zoe Kazan

This movie is about a young writer who had success when he was young but is now suffering from writers block. He finds inspiration in writing about a girl who eventually manifests into a real person. They have a great relationship for awhile but when she starts to grow apart from him, he returns to his writing in an attempt to hold onto the relationship.

The movie was ok, but got a bit dark as he goes down the rabbit hole, and not in a good way.

A factory worker, Douglas Quaid, begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall – a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have led – goes wrong and he finds himself on the run.

Holy lens flare batman. It’s so prevalent that I found it distracting. This film is all about the action and is really just a series of chases after the 1st 10 min. A few clever nods to the 1990 version. Thought they should have made it more ambiguous as to whether he was having a bad Rekall trip or that he was a spy that was woken up. Several scenes in the film don’t work because this isn’t in question. Over all, its not a bad action film to kill a couple of hours. I’m guessing Hyp would like it because of the non-stop action.

The Hobbit in IMAX 3D:
Really enjoyed the film. Need to read the book again. Didn’t feel too long to me. 3D was forgettable and didn’t add to the story. Golum looked great and its clear they’ve come a long way in 10 years with Digital imaging.

Ted: Several pretty good laughs. Wasn’t spoiled by the trailers. Bit of an extraneous sub plot that could have been removed.

Jason Stathem plays a ex-cop (special op), cage fighter who doesn’t throw a fight and gets himself in trouble with the russian mob. He ends up rescuing a little girl who has a talent for numbers from the russians and finds himself in the crossfire of the chinese mob, the russians and a group of dirty cops.

Lots of action, lots of killing, and everything else you’d expect from Jason. (except a fight in oil)

Boardwalk empire:

Starts off with a Bang. Margret and the kids have fled the hotel. Gyp’s men have cut the phone lines and bust in. Nucki shows he can handle himself and blows away the first assault.
Eddy gets shot but doesnt let on, and drives the get away car till he blacks out. Nucky tries to take him to the hospital but is ambushed there.
Nucky goes to Chawky for help and Mr White agrees to hide him. Gyp shows up to offer Chawky an olive branch and says he hopes to be able to do business with him. Gyp also puts a 25k price on Nuckys head.
Gyp doesnt like nuckys office and decideds to set up operations at Gillians whore house.
Gillian kicks Harrow out of the house when she discovers him trying to get the kid out.
Nucky refuses to be run out of town and has Chawky take him to the lumber yard where Eli’s Son works. He promises Chawky the nightclub if he helps him get atlantic city back.
Eli arrives with a convoy of men headed by Al Capone.
